Multimodal Computing for a Healthy Society

About me

I am Karri Karthik. I have a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. I am working as a Research Scientist at the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad, India. Previously, I worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India. My current work focuses on the translational application of artificial intelligence in healthcare. Previously, I worked on developing advanced computational techniques to enhance optical coherence tomography (OCT) images and enhance the efficiency of retinal disease diagnostic algorithms, with a particular emphasis on deep learning and computer vision applications. In addition to an interest in high-impact applications of AI in healthcare analysis, I am interested in technical challenges and algorithmic design for improved diagnostic systems and multimodal treatment mechanisms.
